Vaccines, insulin and other biological medicines are made of delicate proteins. If they get warmer than 8 °C or freeze, they lose their shape and their effect. The damage is invisible: the pack looks fine, but the dose no longer protects the patient.
From factory to patient
A dose passes through several stops: the factory store, the distributor’s warehouse, the delivery vehicle, then the hospital or pharmacy fridge. Every stop must hold 2–8 °C and record that it did.
How we protect the chain
- Cold rooms with continuous monitoring and instant alarms.
- Insulated transport boxes tested for the length of the journey.
- Temperature loggers travelling with every sensitive shipment.
- Emergency-plan training for everyone who handles the shipment.
A cold chain is only as strong as its weakest link. Our job is to make sure there isn’t one.
